The Swartland Development Foundation (TSDF) with a multi-service centre, was established in October 2007 in Malmesbury with the input and involvement of key stakeholders and role-players and with the endorsement of the Swartland Municipality, from which a number of socio-economic development programs and services are being provided.
These services and programs are designed to contribute towards alleviating poverty as well as complimenting the Swartland Municipality Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Local Economic Development (LED) strategy for the Swartland region.
TSDF Mission Statement The TSDF is committed to work in partnership with communities and organisations to facilitate holistic development and effective utilisation of resources. Holistic development encompasses spiritual and social (family and life) skills and the development of technical, career, business and management skills. |
TSDF Multi Service Centre In essence a multi-service centre would provide a base or platform from which numerous services and programs could be offered while unlocking potential within the region as well as mobilising resources from beyond the region for the benefit of citizens within the region. The Centre management is made up of local inhabitants and will continue providing appropriate services in the long-term from these premises. |
